Mubahasa (Discussion) Forum

To strengthen students' command of their texts through study (mutala'ah), revision (takrar), and recitation (ijra), Mubahasa (discussion) events on the core texts of every class from Jamat-e-Yazdahum through Shashum are held two or three times a year. In these events, students recite from memory, in question-and-answer form, the entire portion studied — start to finish — before the Jamia's teaching staff. Every student of the relevant class must take part in this event, with the result that nearly every student becomes genuinely proficient in each text.
