Poetry-Writing Department

One of the departments run under the supervision of Jamia Islamia Obaidia Nanupur is the Poetry-Writing Department. Through this department, students are encouraged toward poetry-writing and recitation. The role of poetry-writing and recitation in developing student talent is undeniable — gaining a pure, forceful command of language and a sharpened literary gift are notable benefits of writing poetry. Attention to poetry-writing is therefore genuinely worthwhile.

Activities of the Poetry-Writing Department:

1. Regular instruction in the rules of poetry-writing in Arabic, Urdu, and Bangla.

2. Writing poetry on set subjects.

3. Proper training and practice in the rules of poetry composition.

4. Organising poetry recitals.

5. Effort toward clear, correct reading and pronunciation.

6. Publishing students' poems in book form.
