Student Library
Alongside the structured curriculum, an open, well-stocked library named "Sultania Library" is available, holding a wealth of books on diverse subjects together with monthly, weekly, and daily newspapers, so that students can gain broader knowledge and stay informed of the nation's contemporary situation and the international landscape. Studious students, in the gaps between their structured studies, are able to gather reading matter according to their own interest and build knowledge in various contemporary subjects.
A brief description of this library — its identity, features, and rules of admission and membership — appears in Clause 25 of this Jamia's Student Constitution. For example:
1. No one may study the library's books without first completing the prescribed admission form and obtaining membership.
2. The library operates from 9:00 to 10:30 AM and from after Asr until Maghrib; it is closed outside these hours.
3. The library is a quiet study environment, so speaking loudly inside is strictly forbidden.
4. Multi-volume works must be read within the library room itself.
5. No one is given more than one book at a time.
6. Books borrowed from the library must be returned within 7 days.
7. Failing to return a book on time obliges the borrower to accept whatever decision the authorities make.
8. Losing or damaging a book obliges the borrower to pay full compensation.
9. The library is closed every Friday.
10. Members must sign the register when borrowing a book.
11. Students of any level, from any department of the Jamia, may join by completing the prescribed admission form.
The library organises one educational seminar each month. In these seminars, students present prepared essays and speeches on various topics in the presence of teaching staff, and successful students are awarded prizes by the Jamia authorities.
